Hiring CJC

We are currently the only existing student consulting service available for students going through the judicial process. We are experienced college judicial professionals (including former chief judicial officers) who have at a minimum a Master’s degree in higher education or a law degree. We will help your child before the first meeting with their judicial officer and the pre-hearing process, prepare for the hearing, prepare an appeal (if applicable), and assist them during the transition periods after the hearing. Our FAQ section has answers to most questions, but there are a few things you should know:

  1. We do not write your child’s complaint or response. It remains up to the student to reflect upon what happened and develop the appropriate materials to articulate that. However, we will work with your child to improve their presentation, identify useful witnesses, understand the policies, and produce the best supporting documents and materials possible. This will require work on their part, but we will be available 24/7 to help them during this time.
  2. Even if you hire us, the student going through the process is our client. This means that we will reveal only those details that the student wishes us to reveal. We understand that this might be frustrating to you, but in order to ensure a trusting, open, and successful relationship, our clients mus be able to reveal anything and everything about themselves and the situation. We have found that if they believe what they tell us will be shared, they will edit their accounts in ways that could hurt them in the long run. That being said, there is a lot we can tell you without breaking that confidentiality, and we will do everything we can to keep you informed while respecting your child’s privacy.
  3. We do not promise that we will “get them off.”We cannot undo incidents, and to promise otherwise would be misleading. What we can do is ensure that your child avoids the damaging mistakes which students often make, provide them with enough preparation to make up for lack of experience with these cases, and give them the best chance for the best result possible. If they do the work and take advantage of all we have to offer, they will have the greatest likelihood of success possible.
  4. We are a 24/7 support resource for your child and are we available to help her through all steps of the hearing, including those outside of the hearing itself. We know how important it is for a student going through the process to have a place to go and count on—we will be that place.
  5. Of course you should contact us if you have any questions, and someone will get back to you in less than one business day. Email us (link to info@CollegeJudicialConsultants.com) or call us at (617) 287-8782.
